Lynn Goya is an Emmy-nominated television writer, author and journalist who specializes in Las Vegas and the environment. Her work is seen on the award-winning PBS program, Outdoor Nevada, in international, national and regional print and online media including Audubon, USA Today, Outside Family, Cooking Light, and the Boston Globe as well as most Las Vegas publications.
Her deep research and boots-on-the-ground reporting infiltrates all of her work including the guidebooks that she co-authored with her son, Alexander: the upcoming Best Hikes Near San Diego (Falcon Press, August, 2011) and the regional best-selling Easy Hikes: Cedar Rapids, Iowa City and Cedar Falls (Falcon Press, Spring 2010). She is also author of Fun with the Family in Las Vegas, 4th edition (September, 2007); Ghost Towns, Legends and Levis, (Nevada Institute for Children, June 2004) and is an experienced ghost writer.
With degrees in English and Economics, she specializes in the business profiles as well as the business and sustainable aspects of design & architecture, food & wine, agriculture, water issues, and entertainment concentrating on the Las Vegas area, Nevada, the Southwest, California and Hawaii.
She has been interviewed as a Vegas expert for the Travel Channel, CBS Newswatch, Bankrate.com, State of Nevada and others.
